ELKE GASTHEERSCHAP

Youth Exchange

About us

All young people from the EU, aged 18–30, are entitled to participate in an exchange program in Europe or in partner countries. This opportunity has been developed by the European Union (EU) through the European Solidarity Corps and the Erasmus+ program.
Through these programs, young people have the opportunity to travel completely free of charge. The (flight) travel and accommodation are fully covered. In addition, participants receive living expenses and pocket money for the duration of their participation in the program.

Volunteering Locations

For individual volunteering, we have 2 certified locations:
- Reinaerde Care Organization at De Heygraeff in Woudenberg
- Cello Care Organization in Rosmalen
At both locations, volunteers work with clients who have multiple disabilities. It is also possible for social work at the care organizations to be alternated with work at other social organizations.
The Volunteering Teams projects can take place at the mentioned care institutions. In addition to these two organizations, we also collaborate with De Kleine Aarde in Boxtel, where Volunteering Teams projects are also organized.

Accommodation During Volunteering

When you volunteer individually at the care organization in Woudenberg, you will stay in an apartment in Barneveld. Barneveld is centrally located, and the train station is within walking distance.
When you volunteer individually at the care organization in Rosmalen, you will stay on the Cello campus. Rosmalen is located in the south of the Netherlands, near s-Hertogenbosch.
For Volunteering Teams, the most suitable accommodation is determined for each project. The accommodation details are provided in the info pack of the respective project.
